About Neil Macgillivray
I was raised on the beautiful island of Islay in the Scottish Hebrides and it was there as a child that I developed my love of storytelling. At that time there was still a strong oral tradition of the older people passing on their tales and life experiences to the young.
Now I am a professional voice-over artist who first started in the business in the 1990s recording corporate videos. I also have experience on stage and in front of camera and am a member of Equity.
My voice range has been described as having velvety smooth tones that are ideal to convey warmth, brightness and calm authority.
So whether you are selling quality products like exclusive cars, whisky or fine chocolate; looking for a sensitive and appealing documentary narration; wishing to establish trust for your services; or needing an announcer for your event, I can help you deliver your message to the people who matter to you.
Still based in Scotland, I have recording and post production facilities to deliver finished audio files anywhere online, either self-directed or with live remote direction. I am also flexible for travel to record in studios locally and in London, if required.
I am also a multi award winning speaker of the works of Robert Burns, a particular passion which has taken me around the world performing his poetry. For more information on this aspect of my work please visit www.wordsofburns.com
